Insurance Exchange Proposal Earns -21 Freedom Index Score
Friday, February 1st 2013
Just how bad is the proposed state insurance exchange called for in Senate Bill 1042? So bad that it earned a session record low of negative twenty-one (-21) points on the Freedom Index!
Some of the reasons for this score include the creation of a new government entity, the creation of a new function of government, new restrictions on the free market, new fees, and much more!

Well, government may very well be bad, but in this current life, without some form of government (which there will always be some form of between men, different peoples, etc), life would be far, far worse, and possibly unlivable for many people. Government is a necessary evil in the present world. It’s a necessary evil, and it’s best to keep it limited and small and very narrow in its authority because fallen people make up government, and by that very fact, that makes eternal vigilence against government imperative by every citizen.
Some territories have gained independence during the 21st century. This is a list of sovereign states that have gained independence in the 21st century and have been recognized by a majority of foreign governments.
Well, you do make it sound though, as if Unregulated and unrestricted government is actually better than anarchy. That is not the issue here however. The issue is the financial trap that is the reality of this insurance scheme. As a recently returning North westerner coming back to the area of the country that I love, I can say this. You are only lighting the candle at both ends, as well as setting fire to the middle by acceding to this horrendously over priced and usurious state insurance. Fully 35 percent of the people out there (not on some form of government assistance or health care) can barely afford the typical premiums. The majority of those would NOT be able to use the insurance even if they could afford the premiums. Its all int he fee scheduling and deductibles and co pays that are beyond cost prohibitive. What you have is millions of people paying into something they won’t be able to use. For some people, it is a difference between maintaining basic living needs or paying for the insurance. Perhaps if you cannot see this, it is time that you step out of your tunnel of blindness and hang out in the rest of the world for awhile.
