Excellent video! Nothing like actual experience with nationalized healthcare to learn the unavoidable pitfalls of it. Eventually ALL of government run monopolies run short of resources and are forced to allocate, because big bureaucracy cannot do ANYTHING efficiently! How do the “ObamaCare believers” think it will be any different?
I think that something that should be emphasized is that the choice for Americans is not between nationalized medical care and the status quo. The current state of American medical care does not even closely resemble that of a free market. Indeed, over half of all health expenses are paid for by the government, so it’s over half-socialized already.
Thus, criticisms of the Canadian system should not be construed as a defense of the American system. Free market advocates should not feel like they have to defend the American health care system, as it is more fascist than free.
